Sonora, CA– The 14th Annual Cajun Fest is coming to the Mother Lode fairgrounds Saturday. Presented by the Sonora Sunrise Rotary, the evening will feature Cajun food, live Cajun music, dancing, a silent auction, a balloon raffle and some new surprises.
Sunrise Rotary Club Secretary Sally Dunn said, “I think it’s going to be bigger and better. We have a special event this year which is going to be turtle races to win some money. The food is also going to be changed up a bit. We have professional chefs cooking the Cajun food which will still include the Cajun catfish which is always very poplular.”
Last year between 350-400 people attended the Cajun Fest in Sonora. The event runs from 5:30 – 9:30 pm.
