Sonora, CA – The cause of a weekend plane crash in the Stanislaus National Forest is undetermined, and the NTSB is investigating.
The only person in the Piper aircraft was Otis Russell Johnson of Truckee, who received only minor injuries. 12 photos from the crash supplied by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office have been posted in the photo gallery.
The crash site was near the intersection of Forest Road 5N02 and 5N83 in an isolated area of the forest. The plane was located at around 3:55pm on Saturday.
