Sacramento, CA — The final Field Poll before the General Election shows Democrat Jerry Brown leading Republican Meg Whitman in the race for Governor.
The poll of likely voters has Brown with 49 percent and Whitman 39 percent. Five percent of voters favor other candidates and seven percent are undecided. In a poll last March, Whitman had a 46-to-43 percent advantage. A later poll in September showed the candidates in a dead heat, 41-to-41 percent. The General Election is Tuesday.
