Angels Camp, CA – When the final provisional ballots were counted in Calaveras County, Jack Lynch moved ahead to claim the second Angels Camp City Council seat.
On Election Night, Steve Difu led Lynch in the race for the second of two seats, 438-430. The Calaveras County Elections Office reports that Lynch ended up beating Difu by a count of 561-555. Lynch, an incumbent, will join top vote getter Stuart Raggio on the Council. The Election’s Office is conducting its one percent required manual recount this afternoon.
In the race for District Five Calaveras County Supervisor, Darren Spellman finished with 2,409 votes (55.8%) and Russ Thomas had 1,882 (43.6%).
Meanwhile in Tuolumne County, Clerk and Auditor/Controller Debi Russell reports that provisional ballots are still being counted in her office this afternoon.
