Sonora, CA — The final Yosemite Community College District Board of Trustees provisional ballots were counted yesterday and Lynn Martin is the winner of the Area 1 seat.
On election night, Richard “Duke” York was the front runner, but Martin ended up with 83 more votes when the final provisional ballots were counted in Tuolumne, Calaveras and Stanislaus Counties. Over 26,000 residents voted in the YCCD race. Martin is set to replace outgoing board member Pat Dean.
The final count:
Lynn Martin – 8,684 (33.28%)
Richard “Duke” York – 8,601 (32.97%)
Ted Morgan – 5,385 (20.64%)
Carolyn Lott – 3,421 (13.11%)
