Diesel Spill In Sonora

Sonora, CA — Emergency crews are working to clean up a diesel spill along portions of Mono Way and along the Sanguinetti Loop.

The Sonora Police Department reports that it originated at the Tractor Supply store, travels down Mono Way, down the Sanguinetti Loop and up a portion of Greenley Road. Vehicles have been sliding when coming to stop lights and crews are working to place absorbent materials on the slick spots. Travel with caution in the area as the roads are still open to traffic. The driver reportedly did not know that the diesel was spilling out of a tank while he was driving.
