Sonora, CA — The weather is responsible for approximately 14,000 power outages in Tuolumne County and 3,400 in Calaveras County.
The largest is in the Twain Harte region where 5,100 customers are without electricity. In Calaveras County, the largest is in West Point where 2,200 are without power. There are also outages reported in Arnold, Dorrington, Phoenix Lake, Cedar Ridge, Ponderosa Hills, Columbia, Jamestown and Sonora. PG&E is hoping that most customers will be restored by sometime this afternoon. Because the outages are so widespread, it is unknown when there will be full restoration.
