Water Conservation In Power Outage Areas

Sonora, CA – The Tuolumne Utilities District is asking residents experiencing a power outage to conserve water as much as possible.

“We have storage tanks in those areas, and with the power outage it has affected our ability to get water pumped into those tanks,” says T.U.D. Spokesperson Lisa Westbrook. “This is affecting our water supply, so please use extreme measures of conservation until the electricity is restored.”

Currently 5,500 residents in Tuolumne County are without power and another 4,500 in Calaveras County.
