Sonora, CA — Calaveras High takes on Escalon tonight with the Division IV Sac Joaquin football championship on the line.
“We’re pretty excited,” says Head Coach Jason Weatherby. “The guys have come together, and they gel as a team very well.”
Calaveras High defeated Dixon in the first round 28-14, beat Livingston 21-7 in the second round and defeated Union Mine 28-21 in round three. Tonight’s game is at 7pm at Lincoln High School in Stockton.
“My coaching staff and I are very pleased with how the community has turned out during the playoffs,” adds Weatherby. “We hope everyone comes out and sees the game tonight.”
Calaveras enters the game 11-2 and Escalon is 12-1.
