San Andreas, CA –Two people were injured and one was arrested following a rollover accident on Highway 49 near Carson Hill Court Thursday.
The CHP reports that 22-year-old Darwin Mendez of Sausalito was driving south and went into a curve at a speed greater than conditions allowed. The 1979 Toyota pickup slammed into a guardrail and went down a steep embankment. The truck rolled over and eventually stopped when it hit a tree. Mendez suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was later arrested for DUI.
A passenger, 30-year-old Pablo Rojas of Sausalito, sustained moderate injuries and was also taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital. The accident occurred during the eight o’clock hour yesterday morning.
