Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is alerting local residents that a test of the Everbridge alert system will be held on Friday at 10am.
A similar test was held this past Saturday, but the sheriff’s office notes that there were some connectivity problems, and officials hope they have now been fixed. The office stresses that the alert this coming weekend is only a test, and there is no reason to be alarmed, or call 911. The Everbridge Emergency Notification system allows residents to receive alerts via phone issued by the sheriff’s office and Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services in the event of an emergency.
