Sonora, CA– With recent freezing temperatures in Tuolumne County last night, Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) is showing an increase in water use for this time of year.
“We would like to ask residents to please look around and check their pipes as well as be aware of neighbors around them that may not be home.” said TUD Operation Manager, Leonard Mauro. “Our crews are finding many broken pipes in the county with excessive water running down roadways.”
Tuolumne Utilities District would like to remind customers to not keep running water on pipes to prevent them from freezing. For detailed information on what to do if pipes are still frozen or if you have a water emergency visit www.tudwater.com
Also, if you cannot locate the water source flow or need assistance from TUD, call 532-5536.
