Paving To Slow Traffic On Sonora Street

Sonora, CA — As Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) continues to finalize repairs on various streets throughout Tuolumne County a downtown Sonora roadway will be closed.

On Friday, crews contracted with Njirich & Sons, Inc. of Sonora will be paving Wycoff Street. It will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to Noon. Drivers could face wait times of up to ten minutes. TUD has relayed that the entire paving project will take place over the next several months and be complete in October of this year.

As earlier reported, through the remainder of June crews will target various areas of Tuolumne, Ponderosa Hills and Willow Springs, working from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., but exact roadways have not been released as crews will be continuously moving.

Throughout the rest of the summer; crews will be making repairs on other roadways across the county, but no specific roads have been named as TUD reports that the work does not require full closures, but could slow traffic. Drivers should expect wait times of up to ten minutes.
