Yosemite, CA — 62-year-old Phillip Bradley of Merced has been fined $5,000 and placed on probation for 36 months for illegally hunting in Yosemite National Park.
The arrest culminated from a months-long investigation by the National Park Service and the California Department of Fish and Game. Bradley has been ordered to stay out of the park during the duration of his probation.
Hunting in a National Park is against the law and Yosemite officials say it is the responsibility of the hunters near the boundary of the park to know where they are at all times.
