Car Hits Mountain Lion On Highway 108

Sonora, CA — The CHP reports that a vehicle struck and killed a mountain lion on Highway 108 near Wigwam Road in the Jamestown area.

It was hit by the driver of a Toyota Camry at around 5:50am. No one in the vehicle was injured in the accident, and the mountain lion is now on the right hand side of the road. Also, at around 6:30am, a Nissan Sentra struck a deer on Highway 108 near the Hess Avenue off-ramp. Be prepared for activity in those areas.
