Update: New Vegetation Fire In Tuolumne County

Update at 8:30 p.m.: CAL Fire reports that the Tamway Fire that was burning in vegetation and some garbage near Highway 108 and Tramway Road in the Mi-Wuk Village area has been extinguished. It was quickly contained at a 20′ x 20′ spot. All incoming resources have been released. The cause is under investigation.

Update at 8:20 p.m.: CAL Fire has named this blaze the “Tamway Fire.” It is burning along Highway 108 and Tramway Road in the Mi-Wuk Village area of Tuolumne County.

Original post at 8:10 p.m.: Twain Harte, CA — CAL Fire reports that firefighters are heading to a reported vegetation fire in the Mi-Wuk Village area of Tuolumne County.

CAL Fire details it is near Highway 108 and Tramway Road. There is no word on the size or the fire’s rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will update with more information as soon as it comes into the newsroom.
