San Andreas, CA — Assistant Calaveras County Administrative Officer Shirley Ryan says tough decisions made by the Board of Supervisors should help the County finish in the black when the fiscal year ends on June 30th.
“If there are no major impacts from the state coming, such as a deferral of payments, we’re looking at finishing the year with just under $400,000,” says Ryan. “Compared to a lot of counties across the state, that is good news.”
Ryan cites recent decisions to layoff eight county employees and leave open positions that are currently vacant as helping the bottom line. She reported the newly calculated numbers to the Board of Supervisors at Tuesday’s meeting.
