Sonora, CA — Federal regulators have closed two California banks, County Bank and Alliance Bank, marking nine failures this year of federally insured institutions.
County Bank’s 39 branches will reopen as branches of San Rafael-based Westamercia Bank.
Alliance Bank’s deposits will be assumed by San Diego California Bank Trust and will reopen Monday as offices of California Bank Trust.
