Jamestown, CA — The cause of a Saturday morning residential structure fire in Jamestown is under investigation.
Firefighters were sent to the home at 10549 Calamity Jane Ln. at 8:45am and found a fire burning in the attic near an adjacent wood stove.
CAL Fire Battalion Chief Barry Rudolph estimates that the fire caused $100,000 worth of damage to the structure and an additional $25,000 in damage to items inside the home.
Three people were in the home when the fire started and they were all able to escape safely.
The Red Cross has been called in to help the displaced residents.
