Sonora, CA — Don’t be surprised if you find a lot folks in the educational arena wearing pink tomorrow.
“Pink Friday” has been organized by the California Teachers Association to show support for the teachers that are being issued pink slips due to the $11 billion in cuts to state education.
Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Joe Silva says he expects that many area teachers and school employees will be wearing pink on Friday.
He estimates there are around 30 teachers in Tuolumne County that have received pink slips.
