Sonora, CA — Stanislaus National Forest Deputy Forest Supervisor Kathy Hardy is leaving to become the Central California District Manager for the Bureau of Land Management.
Hardy’s District will include federal lands from Ukiah to Bakersfield and Bishop to Hollister.
“I expect to continue interacting with many of the foothill communities in my new role,” says Hardy in a statement. “I plan to continue visiting the Stanislaus National Forest to camp, ski and enjoy being out of doors.”
Hardy joined the Stanislaus National Forest two and a half years ago, and served as acting Forest Supervisor in 2008 after Tom Quinn accepted a position with the Tahoe National Forest.
