Sgt. Rapp Motorcycle Run Raised Over $21,000

Sonora, CA — The Vietnam Veterans Post 391 reports that over $21,000 was raised at last weekend’s Sgt. Bobby Rapp Motorcycle Run.

The money will fund scholarships for graduating Tuolumne County high school students.

There were nearly 500 motorcyclists that took part in the run that left Saturday morning near Jamestown.

According to Rick Clement who instigated the event, “Bobby was planning on getting out of the Army and going to college. We know he would appreciate our trying to help send some kids to college, and now we can do that in his memory.”

$9,000 was raised from the ride and the additional money came from cash donations and a raffle of gifts given by local businesses.
