Sonora, CA — The Sonora Area Foundation’s May “SOS” campaign continues to close in on its goal of raising $500,000 by the end of the month.
According to CEO Mark Bergstrom as of Thursday, May 21 the campaign had raised $175,000. Bergstrom adds that another $20,30,000 has been committed.
Combining the two amounts brings the total to about $200,000 with another $50,000 needed by May 31st to reach the goal.
The funds raised will then be matched dollar-for-dollar.
Bergstrom commented, “It’s unbelievable. The response has been overwhelming in a very, very short amount of time. I couldn’t be happier with the community response … it’s been phenominal.”
The funds will untimately be distributed to ATCAA, Interfaith and Sierra Senior Providers.
