Tuolumne, CA — The 60th annual Tuolumne Lumber Jubilee Parade is set for an 11am Saturday start.
The Lumber Jubilee is one of the largest activities held each year in Tuolumne and it always proves to be a significant part of the community’s past and heritage.
This year’s parade will include the Shady Ladies who are coming out of retirement, 10 cars that will participate in a car show immediately following the parade, Girl Scounts, Guns of the Chosen Few, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse, Salvations Army Gymnastics Club from Modesto, a float sponsored by the county’s new roller derby team and a local Jeep Club.
According to Spokesperson Kathy Joice the Junior Tug of War between Sonora and Summerville High School boys will start at 5pm with the street dance to get underway at 7pm.
Joice adds there is no admission for the events but donations will be accepted for the Lumber Jumbilee Organizing Committee.
