Chinese Camp, CA — A bird getting into a power pole recloser has been ruled the cause of a half acre vegetation fire near Chinese Camp Tuesday afternoon.
The fire started at around 1:30pm off Hwy 108 and was contained quickly. No buildings or structures were affected.
CAL Fire responded with Air Attack 440, Copter 404 and Tanker 82. Groveland sent one engine in addition to one engine from Standard. Also a Baseline Hand Crew responded.
A water tender from Mono Vista-Soulsbyville was also summoned.
