Sonora, CA — All types of Fourth of July events are on tap this weekend across the Mother Lode.
The 27th annual Arnold Independence Day Parade will begin at 10am along Hwy 4. It is sponsored by the Greater Arnold Business Association and will feature floats, marching bands, equestrian groups, fire trucks and other entries.
“Parade with a Harte” will start at 11:30am in downtown Twain Harte. Kids activities including face painting and a waterslide will begin at 9am.
The “Glorious Fourth of July Celebration” at Columbia State Historic Park will kick off with a 10am flag raising and firing of the old cannon. The parade will begin at noon.
Christian Heights Church is hosting “Tuolumne County’s Largest Free Family Fourth of July Celebration.” Activities for the entire family will run from 10am to 4pm. They include carnival rides, games and a waterslide.
Fireworks over the water at Lake Don Pedro will start at 9:30pm.
The gates will open to a celebration hosted by Ironstone Vineyards at 2pm. Later in the evening there will be a fireworks display.
The Mokelumne Hill Fourth of July Parade will start at 11am with a flyover and singing of the National Anthem.
