Standard, CA — Firefighters are beginning to get a handle on the vegetation fire located behind the Standard S.P.I. mill. Crews have been able to stop the forward spread.
The fire is 2-4 acres, and officials estimate that it will be contained within the hour. Agencies cooperating with CAL Fire include the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, CHP, Sonora City Fire, Mono Vista, Cedar Ridge, and the US Forest Service.
Standard Road remains closed between Hwy 108 and Tuolumne Rd., and power lines are down in the area. No homes or buildings are in danger.
