Sonora, CA – Officials with the Stanislaus National Forest are now estimating that the Knight Fire will be fully contained by 6pm on Monday.
Crews are patrolling the fire line to make sure that spot fires do not surface.
Forest Service Spokesperson Pat Kaunert says 272 firefighters remain on scene. The cost to suppress the fire has now exceeded $11.6 million.
The fire is currently 80 percent contained, and it has grown to 6,130 acres.
