Three Face Burglary Charges In Calaveras County

Mokelumne Hill, CA — Three people have been arrested in connection to a burglary at a Mokelumne Hill gas station.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the STP station on Hwy 49 earlier this week because of an alarm sounding. A deputy witnessed a vehicle exiting the area and conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. Inside the car he found a cash drawer, cigarettes and potato chips from the store.

Arrested were 20-year-old Justin Robert Trammell of Sutter Creek, 18-year-old Daniel Astwood of Ione and 21-year-old Benjamin Eugene Cribb of Sutter Creek.

The Sheriff’s Department says that during an interview with a detective, one of the suspects admitted to burglarizing the same business a few weeks ago, as well as a Chevron station in Valley Springs. The three suspects are being held on $110,000 bail.
