Sonora, CA — The CHP will be holding a DUI/Driver License Checkpoint Saturday evening somewhere within the unincorporated region of Tuolumne County.
The Sonora area CHP Office plans several saturation patrols and checkpoints throughout the year in an effort to reduce fatal and injury accidents caused by intoxicated drivers.
Saturday’s checkpoint will be in operation from 7pm-2am. The CHP says that by publicizing the effort a head of time, they are hoping to deter motorists from drinking and driving.
