Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center is expanding the service days offered by the Project HOPE Health van.
The new Wal Mart schedule for the Project HOPE Health van is 12:30-4:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday rather than 9am-3pm Monday and Friday. The total number of hours per week remains at 12.
Services offered include general checkups, blood pressure testing, ear examinations and upper respiratory issues. Van treatments are totally non-invasive.
Holly Martens, FNP, is the Family Nurse Practitioner who attends those who make use of the van.
According to S.R.M.C. Marketing Director Gail Witzlsteiner there is no charge for services rendered. The treatments are directed to those who do not have insurance, those who have a high deductible and those who are experiencing difficulty getting an immediate appointment with their doctor.
