Sonora, CA — The Sonora High homecoming parade will begin shortly after two o’clock Friday afternoon in the downtown area.
Sgt. Turu Vanderwiel with the Sonora Police Department says Washington St. will be blocked off between Snell St. and Church St. beginning at 2:10pm. The road will remain closed for approximately an hour.
Motorists who are not attending the parade may want to avoid the downtown area during that time.
Meanwhile in San Andreas, the Calaveras High homecoming parade will begin at two o’clock along Hwy 49. It will travel from High School St. to Main St. It is also expected to last approximately an hour.
