The 19th annual Angels Camp Holiday Parade will take place Saturday morning beginning at 10am.
Bob Menary, the chairman of the parade, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
According to Menary, this years route will be one of the longest ever in Angels Camp. The route runs from Bret Harte High School all the way through downtown before coming to and end at Vallecito Road (the old highway 4).
Menary, who is also the President of the Angels Camp Business Association, invites everyone who both watches and participates in the parade to stick around as there will be a “merchant open house” throughout the community from 11am to 7pm.
The Calaveras Visitors Center will be a center point during the open house, as Santa will be there, carols will be sung and plenty of activities are planned.
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
