Jamestown, CA — The Sierra Conservation Center staff proved itself worthy of the Christmas spirit Friday by wrapping up its annual Holiday fund raising effort with a multitude of gifts.
According to Lt. Kevin Wise, the staff, through a gift basket opportunity drawing and two bake sales, raised $4,504.85 for Hospice of the Sierra.
A total of 244 winter garments and four large boxes of toiletries were collected for the Interfaith Community Social Services.
The staff also purchased gifts for 56 Foster Care children and 42 long term patients at Tuolumne General Medical Facility. The presentation of gifts for the latter also included the singing of a number of Christmas favorites.
S.C.C. employees also packed four large boxes of non-perishable food items for ATCAA (Amador Tuolumne County Action Agency).
