San Andreas, CA — The U.S. Center for Disease Control in Atlanta has recalled 13 lots of the H1N1 nasal spray influenza vaccine from the Calaveras County Health Department.
The recall is due to a decrease in the potency of the vaccine. So the obvious question is, “Was my vaccination effective or do I have to get another one?” The answer from County Health Officer Dr. Dean Kelaita, “The slight decrease in vaccine potency is not expected to have an impact on the protective response to vaccination.”
Any concerns can be addressed to the County Health Department at (209) 754-6460 during regular business hours.
