Sonora, CA — Four Tuolumne County residents have been honored during the April 13 through the 19th Tuolumne County Crime Victims´ Rights Week.
District Attorney Donald Segerstrom recognized Officer Jerry McCaig of the Sonora Police Department for demonstrating a genuine concern for those involved in domestic violence cases.
Segerstrom also recognized Deputy Rod Hobbs of the Sheriff´s Office for his thorough, patient and solid investigations emphasizing great dedication to truth and detail.
Also honored was Cinnamon Lampi of the Probation Department who has developed the Victim Impact Program for Juveniles. The juveniles meet with crime victims who tell them the “real world” impact of crime so they can empathize and hopefully not engage in that type of behavior in the future.
Darrin Ray received recognition as a commuity citizen. Ray was involved in an accident caused by a driver who was “under the influence.” He was severely injured and yet he has moved in a positive direction by taking classes in restorative justice. He is also a part of the Victim Impact Program.
