Sonora, Ca — Sonora Regional Medical Center has unveiled new Telehealthcare technology that allows the care provider to monitor Home Care patients remotely for declining vital signs.
According to V.P. of Business Planning and Development Doug Duffield, the goal is to prevent unplanned hospitalizations for the patients.
Those at risk of being re-hospitalized will be equipped with the Viterion 100 Telehealth monitor to track significant changes in blood pressure, blood oxygen, temperature, weight and blood sugar. If vitals change, a Home Care staff member will be notified.
Community Home Care is a service of SRMC, and serves patients in both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.
