Sacramento, CA — Snowpack totals in the Sierra Nevada are slightly above average for this time of year according to the latest survey conducted today by the Department of Water Resources.
Acting Deputy Director Sue Sims says that the Northern Sierra snow total is at 105% of normal for this time of year, the Central Sierra is 89% and the Southern Sierra is 103%.
At this time last year, the Northern Sierra was 53%, 48% for the Central Sierra and 39% for the Southern Sierra.
