Mi-Wuk, Ca — On Monday, two truckloads of stolen property were discovered after the Sheriff´s Department served a search warrant at residence on Hwy 108 in Mi-Wuk.
Stolen items located include tires, compressors, automotive equipment and other tools. The items were identified by the person from whom they had been stolen.
47-year-old Preston Charles Magruder and 44-year-old Jay Corman Sims were arrested in connection.
Information located during the search led detectives to a second residence down the street. Detectives located more stolen property, as well as drug paraphernalia, a small amount of methamphetamine and the makings of a methamphetamine lab.
The Sheriff´s Department arrested the owner of the residence, 57-year-old Vernon Leslie Hay.
The Sheriff´s Department says an investigation is ongoing, more locations are likely to be searched, and additional arrests may be close at hand.
