Jamestown, CA — Investigating CHP Officer Olga Boenisch from the Sonora area office in Jamestown reports that four vehicles were involved in the accident that halted eastbound traffic on Hwy 108 late this afternoon.
At approximately 4:45 a red GMC Sierra pickup with a female behind the wheel crossed over the centerline and collided with two westbound vehicles. The GMC Sierra then overturned and collided with a vehicle that was behind it.
Several individuals were lifeflighted to Modesto´s Memorial Hospital. Three individuals with moderate injuries were also transported from the scene by emergency vehicles.
According to Boenisch, the initial investigation indicates that alcohol was not a contributing factor in this accident.
Identities of those involved have yet to be released by the CHP.
