Mother Lode Travelers Brace For Blizzard Warning

Sacramento, CA — The National Weather Service continues to call for a ´blizzard warning” for the Mother Lode and the Sierra Nevada region commencing at 4pm today lasting until 4am Friday.

Snow levels will start at approximately 6,000 feet with the expectation they will drop to 4,500 feet by tomorrow and 2,500 feet by Saturday.

The Highway Patrol is recommending extremely limited travel due to the prediction of heavy rain, snow and high winds.
