Sonora, CA — The first “open to the public” meeting of the new year for the Highway 108 Fire Safe Council is set for Thursday evening at six o´clock at the Sonora Fire Department´s conference room at 201 S. Shepherd.
The purpose of the meeting is to gather fire safety suggestions, proposals and comments from homeowners and private landowners located within urban wildland interface areas along the Hwy 108 corridor in Tuolumne County.
Chief topic Thursday evening; an opportunity to learn about “foothill friendly” fire-safe landscaping to improve the defensibility of homes against destructive wildfires.
