Mariposa, CA — The Mariposa County Sheriff´s Office is seeking the public´s help in locating 43 year old Roy Ward Watson.
Saturday the Sheriff´s Office received a missing person report on the six foot, one inch, 240 pound resident of the LaGrange area in Stanislaus County.
Watson´s wife told deputies that her husband had left their residence on July 16 at approximately 3pm to cut firewood in the Soapstone Ridge area of Mariposa County.
Watson left his residence driving a 1997 white Dodge Ram 2500 extended cab, long bed diesel pickup with California disabled license plates 5496JDP.
Watson suffers from multiple scherosis and takes medication to control his medical condition. While he may have taken some with him, if he goes without the medication he may have trouble walking and become disoriented.
The Mariposa County Sheriff´s Department is being assisted by the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office, the Stanislaus County Sheriff´s Department and U.S. Forest Service personnel.
