Sonora, CA — Due to the Telegraph Fire burning in Mariposa County air quality in Tuolumne County on Sunday entered the unhealthy range for the sensitive groups catatory,
According to County Health Officer Dr. Todd Stolp visibility had deteriorated to less than four miles in portions of the county particularly in the southeast section.
At these times people with asthma, lung desease, heart disease or other chronic illnesses should stay indoors and close the windows in their homes.
When visibility drops to less than three miles even those without chronic illnesses should avoid going outside. Stolp adds that vigorous outdoor activities should be curtailed until the air quality improves.
People in private homes may run their HVAC systems but should consider setting their devices to the recirculation mode.
