Yosemite National Park, CA — According to Delaware North Companies (DNC) Public Relations Manager Kenny Carst hard-line power may be restored to Yosemite in the next 24-48 hours.
The Telegraph Fire started Friday afternoon, July 25 at 3:10 during a target shooting incident at the end of Mosher Rd. A shot missed a target and hit a rock. The spark ignited a fire approximately 14 feet above that point.
At 2pm the next day Yosemite lost its power. Since that time the Park has been on generator power but it appears now that repairs are close to being completed on the high voltage lines that service Yosemite.
This morning Yosemite lost power for a short time when the El Portal Sub-station failed and the Park was forced to rely on its own generators.
