Supervisors Will Hold First Meetings Of The Month

San Andreas, Ca — The Mountain Springs Community Project public hearing is scheduled to be continued Tuesday before the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors.

On August 19th the developers asked for more time to continue negotiations with the opponents. The project currently stands at 897 homes, but developer Ron Kopf has said that they have been working to get the number down to around 600. The public hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30pm.

If a negotiation has been reached, the Supervisors have indicated that the project would likely be sent back to the Planning Commission.

Meanwhile in San Andreas, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will vote on whether to sign a letter of support for a Sierra Nevada Conservancy grant proposal that would study the viability of an ecosystems services market to support the local economy. Tuesday´s Supervisors meeting will begin at 9am at the Government Center.
