Lake Tulloch Condo Lawsuit On The Horizon

San Andreas, CA — According to Calaveras County Fifth District Supervisor Russ Thomas the Tri-Dam Commission is planning on filing a lawsuit against the County for its approval of a 30 condiminium project to be built once the Lake Tulloch Resort is demolished.

Calaveras and Tuolumne counties along with the Tri-Dam Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission are responsible for total control of the lake.

The county´s Planning Commission turned down the project on June 5 but an appeal was made before the Board of Supervisors who then approved the project by a 3-2 vote. Board Chair Steve Wilensky and Fifth District Supervisor Russ Thomas voted against the development.

Tri-Dam has released a report stating that the Board rubber stamped an environmental impact report without addressing objections raised by the agency.

At this juncture the owners of the resort are also considering the option of establishing a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center on the property.
