Copperopolis, Ca — 33-year-old Mitchell Ray Moss of Copperopolis is facing a charge of attempted homicide following an incident earlier this week at 1976 Arrowhead St. in Copperopolis.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department reports that Moss became angry because 22-year-old Kyle Anthony Orr allegedly broke the window on his pickup truck. Moss, with a sword in hand, entered Orr´s Arrowhead St. residence and started searching for him. Moss entered the bathroom where a juvenile female was getting dressed, and shattered the glass shower door. He then found Orr in the living room, and swung the sword at him, cutting Orr´s forearm. Orr was able to escape out the house without further injury.
Moss was later arrested by Sheriff´s deputies and taken to County Jail on $795,000 bail. Orr denied breaking the windshield of the pickup truck owned by Moss. The Sheriff´s Department says that the case is still under investigation.
