Sonora, Ca — Avalon Health Care Inc. is continuing with its effort to construct a long term care facility in Tuolumne County, and plans to have the building open and operational by October of 2010.
Avalon Vice President and Treasurer Skylar Hollingsworth addressed the Board of Supervisors Tuesday, and announced that his company will be working with California Gold Development Corporation.
The new facility will house 90 beds, which is 48 more than the current offering of Tuolumne General Medical Facility. Once Avalon constructs the private facility, the TGMF long term care operation will be shut down.
The 30,000 square ft. facility will be located off Greenley Rd.
