Columbia, CA — Groundbreaking ceremonies for Columbia College´s Child Development Training and Family Care Services Center are set for 10am today.
The ceremonies, open to the public, will be held at the center´s future site on campus off Sawmill Flat Rd.
The facility will be composed of five integrated single-level buildings totaling 13,100 square feet. The buildings will house an infant center, toddler center, preschool center, family care services and administration center along with an adult classroom building for child development instruction. The anticipated project completion date is December, 2009.
The $6.3 million project is funded by Measure E which was passed by voters in the area served by the Yosemite Community College District. Columbia and Modesto Junior College comprise the YCCD.
